Ian Hartmann
Founder & Head Mentor
Ian is the Founder and Head Mentor of CPP Trading, and he has a passion for teaching and mentoring traders and investors worldwide. Developing a keen interest in the financial markets at an early age as a second-generation trader, he learned the ins and outs of the stock market at a young age.
Although Ian initially pursued a different career and has a background in Engineering and Architecture, he quickly realized his true calling was in the financial markets. He gained a lot of knowledge and experience from working in Europe and always enjoyed traveling internationally. While he continuously followed various markets, he relocated to North America to trade physical assets and commodities and later fully transitioned from physical commodity trading to the spot market to reduce operating costs and maximize profits.
Ian specialized in Forex & Commodities / CFD’s and spent years analyzing price charts and market trends to find structure within the randomness of the today’s markets. While he comfortably trades all types of markets and timeframes, his core focus remains on intraday trading and scalping, where he relies on strategies based on price action, market structure, and pattern recognition.
Today, Ian collaborates with trading firms internationally and works with traders all over the world. CPP Trading was founded to share his knowledge with other traders and provide them with the required knowledge, education, and mindset to succeed in the markets.
